Inquire About This Family

Hi there!

We are Adam and Marlena.

We are passionate, fun-loving people who feel a strong calling to grow our family through adoption. We love kids and have been waiting for almost five years now for a child to join our family. We found out a few years ago that we cannot have biological children. However, turning to adoption was very natural for us as Adam was adopted as a baby by two of the most wonderful people we know. This experience has crafted in us an ability to see adoption as an amazing opportunity and not a second choice.

We love snow, sweet tea, and most importantly each other. God is at the center of our family, and we are so grateful that He is walking with us through this amazing journey. We have been married for over seven years and can’t wait to see what the next 75 will hold. :)

We are thrilled to be walking through this process and can’t wait to meet the very special woman that will forever be a part of our family story. We pray for you even now… before we know your name… that you will be blessed and have peace as you consider this path.

When considering our future as parents, it is filled with a hope and joy that is hard to put into words. The idea of having children to love and pour into is so incredible. To imagine what they might one day become…  to dream big with them… to pretend to be a princess or astronaut… to laugh and cry with them… and to surround them with a big family who is already in love with them. To say that we are ready for this is an understatement. :)

A little bit about Adam:

I am passionate about developing relationships and connecting with others. I serve as a worship & creative arts pastor at church, and I can honestly say I have the best job on the planet. I get paid to create music and to share Jesus with people using creative and artistic means. I enjoy exercise and staying in shape, especially playing basketball and hanging out with friends.  You’ll find me most Saturday mornings after worship band rehearsal playing basketball at church. I am more of an extrovert by nature, but I also love having quiet evenings at home with my beautiful wife and our fun-loving dogs. I always try to be kind and compassionate to everyone I encounter. An interesting fact about me is that I, too, was adopted. I was adopted and raised by the two most loving parents anyone could ask for, and I can assure you, that if you choose us, your child will be raised as our own and in the same loving way I was raised. My parents have given me a great lifelong example to follow, and there is nothing else in this life that I want more than to be a father. We have been praying for you every day since long before meeting you, and we will continue praying for you every day of our lives. We hope to meet you and be a part of your life!

A little bit about Marlena:

I love people, especially those that are unique and special. I work with children who are autistic. They have the biggest hearts and smiles. My favorite part of the day is getting a big hug or high five from one of them as they leave school. I enjoy reading, working in my flower garden, swimming, and hanging out with family and friends. I love to craft and spend time creating things for our home or gifts for friends. I am quiet by nature, but love to be an encourager to those around me.  I try to always have a warm smile for all those I meet. Above all, I am praying for you and can’t wait to meet you. The fact that you are even reading this means that you are one of the bravest women I could ever know. I would covet the opportunity to walk through this alongside you.

We are excited to see what God does in our family through this journey. Even though you can only see a small snapshot of who we are, we pray that you see our hearts for you and your child. We pray for you as you walk through this, you would know that God is with you. Thank you for considering us to be a part of your child's life. We would be thrilled beyond words to have the gift of loving your child.
