Dear Expectant Parent,

You have already made a very brave, courageous and selfless decision about the life of your baby.

We want to thank you for choosing life for your child!  Although we don't know the whole story of your situation and how you came to be where you are today, we want you to know that God loves you and your baby so very much.  We have been praying for you and your child ever since we decided to adopt.  We pray that we all will grow closer to Him through this process and see God's purpose fulfilled in all of our lives.

We want to thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about our family.  So to give you a brief history of our family...

We met on E-Harmony in 2001 and have been happily married for 12 years.  What drew us to one another was our love for the Lord.  This was the highest priority for us in a spouse.  We had a quick engagement (5 months) and then married in 2002.

We had our firstborn, Wyatt, in 2003 and he was a huge blessing (10 lbs of blessing)! He has grown into a smart, witty and caring young man.

After a few moves and a couple years later, we decided to try having another baby.  We were excited about adding another blessing to our family, but soon after our second son was born, it was discovered that he had a huge tumor on his liver.  During a minor surgical procedure, 4 days after Elijah's birth, God decided to take him to heaven.  Although this was a very difficult time for us as a family, God's love and grace surrounded us and we knew His presence like never before.  We rejoice in knowing that Elijah is waiting for us in heaven and we will see him again one day.

In 2008 we had our third son, Hudson.  Cristy's pregnancy included pre-term labor and months of bed rest, but a healthy boy was born!  Hudson is a joyful, tender-hearted boy who loves to laugh.

Jesus is center of our lives.  He is what brought us together as a couple and continues to solidify us as a family.  By God's grace, we strive "train up our children in the way they should go".  We want our children to know the love, forgiveness and grace of God in how we raise them and the example we set.

As Wyatt and Hudson have grown older, we have desired to grow our family.  However, medically it was recommended that we shouldn’t try to have another child because of the risk to both Cristy and the baby.  Growing up with family members who've been part of adoption made an impact on Cristy growing up, and it's been on her heart and mind ever since.  She began praying about adoption for us as a family in 2011.  Almost immediately, she began seeing and hearing about adoption, nearly every day!   In 2014, the Lord opened Guy's heart to adoption. Having seen the miracle of adoption again and again in the lives of family and friends around us, we began the adoption process and are now waiting and excited to meet the child that God wants to bring into our family!

We are praying for God to give us wisdom and for Him to guide us all through this process.  We look forward to meeting you and getting to know each other better.

Thank you,
Guy and Cristy
