More About Our Family
We have been married ten years. We have 2 daughters who are 3 and 5. We love our family and being parents so much but are not able to have any more on our own. We feel it in our hearts that our family is not yet complete. We both (Andres and Tessa) have a close family. Tessa' parents live close by and Andres' mom lives in Georgia, but visits often. Andres is originally from Colombia, South America and is bilingual. Most of his family still lives there. He speaks Spanish to our girls. It is our hope that they will also be bilingual. Our girls are old enough to be excited about having another baby to spoil. Lucia has already made a list of names. I know they will be great big sisters. We will raise your baby openly and lovingly. We want him/her to know where they come from- their roots, and to always be able to answer their questions and talk to them. We would raise them with a love and foundation of knowing God. We would raise your baby with our values: love, inclusiveness, open-mindedness, family, and so much more. Of course we aren't perfect but we try and we love. There is so much we want to tell you about us. It's impossible to put all of us on a web page or a book. But we do want you to know that we will love you and your baby. You will always be a part of our lives and your baby's life. Whatever that may look like, we will continually pray and be grateful of the work that God is doing in our lives and for you. With love, prayers, and hope. The Cortes Family.
More About Andres
Andres (age 36) was born in Colombia, South America and moved to East Tennessee when he was 11 with his younger sister and mom. Most of his extended family, including his father and 2 half brothers still live in Colombia. We try to visit each other when we can. Colombia is a huge part of who Andres is and he wants to share that with his wife and children. He speaks to the girls in Spanish and it is our goal that they become bilingual. He was raised with a close, large family which has instilled in him those family values. He has a bachelor's degree in IT and electronics. He currently works for a large corporation as a customer liaison in logistics. He loves dancing, music, biking, soccer, and all things active and being outside. He also is fun and adventurous and wants to travel. He is patient, considerate, smart, hard working, easy going, non-confrontational, and shy at times. He has a big heart and loves his family so much.
