Dear Expectant Parent(s),

Hello! Thank you so much for taking the time to learn about us and for considering us as you make the difficult decision of who will parent your child. We hope you will be able to see the love we have for each other, the love we have for our families, and most importantly, the love we have for God. We are so excited to become parents and welcome a child into our home and family.

Our names our Stephen and Amanda. We have known that we wanted to adopt since before we were married. Adoption has always held a special place in our hearts, because Amanda was adopted at just 8 weeks old. The bond that Amanda shares with her family is unlike any other, and we are so excited to share that bond with a child. Because of the history of adoption in our families, this was always our first choice in growing a family. We know that God has a special path for us, and we cannot wait to meet the child He has chosen for us.

About Us

We met in 2000, when Stephen's father accepted the available Minister position at Amanda's church. Our families became close friends, and after we both finished college, we started dating in 2013. Stephen proposed in March of 2014, and we were married in October of 2014, in the church where we first met. Family is very important to us; we both knew children were in our future.

We enjoy traveling together, and have explored many exciting places in the United States like the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee and the Redwood Forests in California; along with Canada, the Bahamas, and Europe.

About Amanda

Amanda has known she wanted to adopt for as long as she can remember. Adoption holds such a special place in her heart because she was adopted. She loves kids and works with them in many aspects of her life. Amanda has taught Sunday school at her church since she was 16 years old. Amanda also interacts with children every single day at her job at a local High School. In her free time, Amanda enjoys volunteering, directing, and performing at a local community theater.

About Stephen

Originally from New England, he has lived in Pennsylvania since 2000. He works as a senior software engineer for a small company in DC, but is lucky enough to get to work from his home office. Stephen has known he wanted to be a father for as long as he can remember. It was always very important to him. He hopes to raise a strong, respectful, Godly child. He is currently the Youth Group Director at his church, working with children of all ages. In his free time, he enjoys playing racquetball, frisbee golf, and watching Ice Hockey.

Our Families

We both come from extremely tight-knit families. We attend church 3 times a week with both sets of our parents, along with some of Amanda’s extended family. We also celebrate every holiday with a selection of our families. Thanksgiving is Amanda’s favorite holiday, because it brings together most of her family – over 50 people to be thankful for! Stephen enjoys Christmas, because we get to host Christmas for our families and is a great tradition that we started when we finished building our house.

We hope that you have learned a little bit about us. Please know we will be praying for you during this difficult decision. Thank you for taking the time to learn about us; our life, our love, and our deep desire to welcome a baby into our hearts that we will love and cherish for the rest of our lives.
