Our story began as a couple of kids who grew up going to church together. As we got older, our friendship turned into something more. We started dating near the end of high school and continued dating through most of college. It was on a backpacking trip to Zion National Park where Eric proposed! We were married a year later in April 2011. Since then we have had the opportunity to buy a home, pursue our careers, and travel. One of our greatest joys is being aunt and uncle to seven of the most terrific kiddos! We've enjoyed trips to the Science Center, City Museum, Sky Zone, and love hosting sleepovers at our house. Three years ago we started trying to have a child of our own. As life goes however, God was not quite ready for us to have a family yet. Though infertility has been a struggle, it has helped us grow stronger in our relationship with God and with one another. We believe that God has great plans for our family and that those plans include adoption. Let the adventure begin!!!

More About Our Family
Thank you for taking the time to view our profile. Although we have not yet met, we pray for you often and commend you for your courage as you work through this difficult decision. We enter into this adoption journey prayerful and expectant that God will be at work. Although we have not yet been able to have biological children of our own, we are confident that we can be good parents if given the opportunity. We, along with our family and friends, will love your child unconditionally. Also, please know that if you choose us, your child will always know your story and the selfless sacrifice you made for him or her. We know that God has a plan for you and your child. While we hope that plan includes us, even if it does not, we pray that you can rest in God's promise to give you hope and be at peace with this important decision.
More About Eric
My husband is truly the whole package. He is handsome, smart, funny, brave, resourceful, handy, and incredibly hard-working. He is not afraid of a challenge. In fact, he spent the past several years renovating an entire home with his own two hands (that was in addition to his full-time job). What I love the most about him though is his way with children. Our nieces and nephews absolutely adore him and he loves them like they are his own children. Even our closest friends' children refer to him as "Uncle Eric." He is always ready to play, wrestle, and laugh with the kids. He is the godfather of two little girls and he takes that role very seriously as well. He is going to make such an amazing father one day.
More About Rachel
My wife can be a real contradiction. She likes roller coasters, but also HGTV. Christian radio, but also 90's grunge rock. Exercise, but also wine. It's this contrast that makes every day new and exciting. I love Rachel's sense of adventure - she likes to travel, try new foods, and engage in new experiences. Despite that sense of adventure she also helps keep us (me in particular) grounded and practical. Most of all, I admire Rachel's dedication to her faith and our family. She is a wonderful aunt and godmother. She spends most of her days off surrounded by her nieces and nephews. She also likes to host sleepovers, where we play games, bake cookies, do crafts (and jump on the bed!). The kids are such an important part of our lives. Rachel is going to be a wonderful mother. She is more beautiful than ever and I am proud to have her as my wife.
