Dear Expectant Parent(s), We would like to thank you for taking the time to read more about our family. We know the decisions that you are facing are very difficult and respect them. While we can’t begin to imagine the pain and struggles you are going through, please know that if you choose our family, your baby will be loved and cared for. We believe that growing our family through adoption was God’s plan for our family. Our journey together started with a kayaking trip with friends one early spring day in Florida. Immediately we noticed there was chemistry between the two of us, however, we did not begin dating right away. We decided to take it slow and over the next few months our friendship blossomed into a relationship that quickly moved into a marriage. We quickly realized that God had bigger plans for us and we knew that He wanted us to get married. A few months later, our whirlwind relationship changed as we eloped. We had planned a trip to Las Vegas for Leigh Anne’s birthday and decided to also get married while we were there. We were able to invite our mothers to join us, which made our special day even more special. In 2014, we met and married. In 2015, we had our son Owen. In 2016, we had our son Ryan. In 2017, we moved across the country to follow a new path that God had planned for us, which brought us to Michigan. Bill’s profession is a chemical engineer. He got his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry at Baldwin Wallace College in 2000 and then went to Washington University in St. Louis where he got his Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering. Bill’s usual work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30-4:30. Occasionally, his hours are extended and require an occasional weekend, but these are usually known in advance. Prior to becoming mom, Leigh Anne worked full time for the State of Florida. When Owen was born, Leigh Anne became a stay at home mom. She attended Florida State University and was working on a Family and Child Sciences degree when she and Bill began their family. The degree has been put on hold until after the children are in school and Leigh Anne is able to give school the full attention it deserves. Leigh Anne is able to take both boys to play at the Point which is a church based play group twice weekly, MOPS which is a church based mom’s group that meets multiple times per month, swimming lessons, play dates, the park, and speech therapy as needed for Owen and Ryan. Leigh Anne and the boys also make time to read books and make crafts that nurture their imaginations and creativity. Our home is in a very child focused neighborhood. When the weather is nice, you will easily find several children playing outside. With the first snowfall of the year, there were several snowmen built all throughout the neighborhood and several sledding paths from where older siblings were pulling younger siblings up and down the little hills on their sleds. We have a neighborhood pool and are walking distance from a local park. We enjoy playing outside in our fenced in backyard with the boys, planting our vegetable garden, and working on the flower beds. We have a dedicated play room set up inside for the boys to play in that lets their creativity flow. We spend time with our neighbors on a regular basis, in someone’s backyard or with a kiddie pool set up in the front yard of one of our houses over the summer. Our weekends include walking to the park, walking through Al Sabo which is a local nature preserve, taking bicycle rides around the neighborhood, and spending time as a family. Leigh Anne enjoys cooking homemade dinners and making cookies from scratch. Bill enjoys reading and working out. We look forward to trying new recipes as the adventures are endless. We would prefer an open or semi-open adoption with texting or emailing of pictures and updates. We currently keep in contact with our out of state families by FaceTime and Skype on a regular basis and would be open to this with you as well, as long as you’re comfortable with it. We would like to schedule visits as well, as we feel that maintaining the connection to the biological family is in the best interest of the child. With love, Bill and Leigh Anne

More About Our Family
Owen is a very active 3 year old boy who loves to learn through adventures. He is very energetic and loves to get that energy out on a play ground. He isn’t afraid to try most things all while being your typical picky 3 year old that requests “corn hotdogs” for lunch most days. Owen loves going to school and was sad for school to stop for the summer. Ryan is your typical little brother. He follows Owen around and wants to do everything that his older brother is doing. For a 1.5 year old, he’s got a lot of spunk! He has found his own personality in the time that we spend together while Owen is at school. Ryan eats everything in sight and gets hangry if he doesn’t get his snacks as quickly as he wants at times. But that’s all part of his spunk shining through. He loves to cuddle and wants you to read books to him every day.
More About Bill
Bill is shy at first, but really opens up once you get to know him. He’s very family oriented and would do anything for his family. Bill enjoys reading a good book, going for walks, bicycle rides, and using sarcasm whenever possible. He loves Batman and Star Wars. Bill finds us new recipes to try and being adventurous with food.
