Dear Birth Parents,

We feel so blessed to have this moment to introduce ourselves to you.  Hi, my name is Christine and my husband’s name is Aldo. We are writing this to you with all the love and hope in our hearts.  Aldo and I know how much you love your child and we could never imagine how difficult this has and will be for you, but our promise to you is that you will always be a part of our family because your child is a part of you and even though we have not met, my husband and I say a prayer for you every night. Thank you for reading our letter and we hope it will give you a chance to get to know us.

Aldo and I have been married for ten years and a couple of years ago we lost a child due to an ectopic pregnancy. After a lot of testing I found out my chances of conceiving were not possible. Aldo and I are similar in so many ways, we both have kind and loving hearts and are selfless when it comes to our families, friends and each other and without a thought we knew that we wanted to adopt. Our families are very supportive of our decision and they cannot wait to meet their new grandchild, niece or nephew, cousin and for us our new son or daughter.

 As a couple:
One of the great things about us is we complement each other. Aldo brings out the best in me and I try to do the same for him.  We think we are so good together because we both bring something different to our marriage. I was born and raised in a city environment and Aldo the suburbs. Aldo and I do have our disagreements like any other couple but we always try to make the best out of any situation because we remember that we are not promised tomorrow so we laugh a lot, spend alot of our time with family and friends and give thanks and appreciate all of our blessings. We are both very outgoing and even if there are times we cannot go on big trips we always find things to do locally. We are not far from the Jersey shore and have a couple of amazing parks with petting zoos, pools and picnic areas. We both have big families with a lot of cousins so there is always a place to go and plenty of kids to play with. We also love our down times where we relax, make popcorn and enjoy a good movie.  We look forward to the winter, the snow and the holidays. I think no matter what it is we are doing we have fun because we have an amazing friendship and we enjoy each other’s company.

About My Husband:
Aldo is the most compassionate, loving and selfless man I have ever known. He is funny and a lot of fun to be around.  Aldo enjoys the outdoors, camping, going to sporting events and golfing. Aldo is great because he is a get up and go kind of guy. He enjoys life and loves planning things for us to do on the weekends. My husband played football, basketball and ran track in high school and grammar school and even went back to coach the kids.  Aldo has two older brothers and one younger brother.  He is very close to his family. He enjoys spending time with my nieces and nephews and I love watching him play with our friend’s kids when we babysit. Aldo is so good because he helps me give them baths and watches cartoons with them until they fell asleep.  I know he is going to be an amazing father.

About My Wife:
Chris is a lot of fun to be around because she is a kid at heart; she keeps me laughing and is not afraid to be herself no matter what other people think.  My wife has two younger brothers and an older sister and is very close to her family. She has a special bond with her sister’s three kids. When they were younger and would stay over, I loved watching my wife come up with creative ways to enjoy her time with them.  Chris has a great outlook on life and no matter what it is we may have to deal with she will always try and find the positive way to look at it. I think her strong points are her spirituality, her strong faith and her willingness to help others. My wife has a kind and beautiful heart. Chris loves writing and loves to draw as well. She started a beautiful diary of our journey for our son or daughter and it is amazing to see how much love she has in her heart for our future child.
